LouvainMUN is delighted to had the opportunity to take part in a unique and inspiring virtual visit to the European Commission.
We would like to thank Marie José Pastor for her warm welcome and hospitality despite the current circumstances, and for offering us a quality visit.
We discussed migration issues within the Schengen area and the new pact on migration and asylum which has been one of the institution's major concerns for almost five years. Many thanks to Esther Pozo Vera for enlightening us on the subject. Afterwards, Koen Hendrix introduced us to the different career opportunities, as varied and interesting as they could be. Finally, Joachim Herrmann explained what was the European rule of law mechanism as the first 2020 report promote the rule of law and prevent challenges from emerging or deteriorating.
However, this opportunity would not have happened without François Denoël from CEMS Club Belgium - we would like to thank him for this exceptional activity.
